Seconde Majeure

Designed as an open-worked, multi-tiered display, the dial features a warm champagne-toned brushed base plate flanked by two curved apertures for jumping hours (at 12 o'clock) and jumping minutes (at 6 o'clock). At its heart lies a central transparent sapphire disc showcasing the intricate gearing, anchored by a vibrant blue central deadbeat seconds hand (seconde morte) that ticks with precision once per second. The outer ring is engraved with "BALTIC X SPACEONE" and "MANUFACTURÉ À PARIS".

Crafted in polished and brushed stainless steel, the case measures 38.5 mm in diameter with classic stepped lugs that reflect Baltic’s signature vintage aesthetic. It features a raised, domed sapphire crystal that seamlessly integrates into the rounded bezel, protecting the complex multi-layer display while maintaining a slim, ergonomic profile on the wrist.

Powered by an automatic movement equipped with a custom-developed, high-complication module built specifically for this collaboration. It drives both the jumping hour/minute digital displays and a deadbeat seconds mechanism (seconde morte), allowing the central blue hand to advance in precise one-second increments rather than a continuous sweep, combining traditional horological craft with modern mechanical ingenuity.
