Our Manifesto
WatchVote started the same way many meaningful things in horology do—quietly, almost unintentionally—through a growing mix of admiration and unease.
Admiration came first. The kind that anyone who has fallen into watches understands. The appreciation for craft, for detail, for the human hand behind something mechanical and alive. The late nights reading, the conversations, the friendships, the constant discovery. Watches have a way of pulling you in, and once you’re in, you realize it’s not just about objects—it’s about people, stories, and a shared obsession that connects strangers across the world.
But alongside that passion, something else began to take shape.
A sense that the conversation wasn’t fully ours.
That the narratives shaping the industry—what matters, what’s “important,” what deserves attention—often felt filtered, sometimes biased, and occasionally disconnected from the people who actually live with these watches every day. The collectors. The ones who care deeply, who study endlessly, who ultimately support and sustain this entire ecosystem.
And yet, for all that passion, there wasn’t a clear, unified way for collectors to express themselves. Opinions were scattered—across conversations, forums, group chats, comments—but rarely brought together into something meaningful. Something visible. Something that could actually be felt.
WatchVote was created to bring that voice together.
At its core, WatchVote is about turning individual sentiment into collective understanding. About creating a space where the people who make up the market can finally see themselves reflected in it. Where opinions are not hidden or diluted, but counted, shared, and understood.
The best outcomes in horology have always come from a dialogue between creators and collectors. From brands that listen, and collectors who engage. WatchVote exists to strengthen that connection—to offer a clearer lens into what resonates, what inspires, and what doesn’t.
But beyond votes and data, horology is built on perspective. And some of the most valuable perspectives don’t come from established platforms or industry insiders—they come from collectors themselves. From people who have something to say, but haven’t always had a place to say it.
And that is why the segment of “New Voices” was created. It’s an open invitation for collectors—whether new or seasoned—to contribute, to share, to challenge, and to be heard. It’s a recognition that this community is not defined by a few voices at the top, but by the many who live and breathe it every day. A community of brothers and sisters, connected not by status, but by a shared passion that can help shape the future of horology in a way that is more honest, more connected, and more true to what this passion really is.
This is where we’re coming from.
And this is where we’re going.
Together.
